A much anticipated celebration that taught us so much about this couple and how their spark ignited!

Megan and Patrick are a couple on the ball when it comes to wedding planning. They got engaged over New Years and imediately got right to it! Megan reached out right away to meet up and chat about the process over coffee even before she knew any other details or dates. (Now that is a bride after my own heart) As soon as they snagged a date at the perfect venue we were her next call.

As we planned their engagement session we were fighting all the wondrous quirks of "spring" weather in PA! Megan knew she wanted to venture outdoors and capture the places that hold the first memories of their story in the heart of the South side. We absolutely loved this idea however, this involved waiting for the perfect timing that we knew would be safe from the questionable weather we get in April. It was totally worth the wait! May arrived and the weather final broke, so we headed down to the city for their session. We captured the celebration of the yes in the very place they met and grew as a new couple. We started out the photos in front of the building where Patrick first laid eyes on Megan... and the rest was history! It was lovely to walk the paths they took as they began their love story and hear all about the first days of their relationship. The south side streets added a great unique vibe to the gallery and told a sweet sentimental story!

Even though Patrick was ready to watch the Philly ball game that night he kept in great spirits as we moved to a second location overlooking downtown Pittsburgh. This was a location added by us when Megan asked if we knew of a good spot that would compliment their city ideas and give their gallery a one of a kind flare. We photographed a senior session here a while back and have been just waiting on an excuse to return. The high line was the perfect finale to the session with a beautiful sunset glow painted on the city!

We can’t believe we have to wait a whole year to celebrate their I do’s but we are so excited to see all of their planning come to fruition! Next June cannot come fast enough!
