Getting to know Alayna and Jay at their engagement session was so much fun. They were not planning on doing engagement photos but with a little convincing, they decided to take advantage of the complimentary sessions we offer with every wedding package. We strongly believe spending time with our couples before the wedding is a crucial part of a fantastic photography experience! This gives us the chance to get to know them and take a bit of anxiety off their shoulders. I am confident Alayna and Jay agree and are so glad they changed their minds!
The venue they booked for their big day owns two properties, one of which was already booked on their wedding date. So we decided for their engagement session we would explore that beautiful property as we wouldn’t get the chance to do so on the wedding day. We knew about 2 minutes in that it was the perfect choice.
With the slow start to the blooms this spring, Alayna wanted “anything green” and that is exactly what she got! The pond was filled with ducks and surrounded with gorgeous tall grass and landscape. We walked the pond and swung on the tree swing as we admired the privacy of this quiet venue on a weeknight. We laughed and learned all about them as a couple and how excited they are to start their life together as Mr. & Mrs.
The grand finale was the soon to be grooms idea and gave their gallery unique variety. We love asking the guys for their ideas as they usually involve something with a motor and we absolutely love it. In this case Jay’s truck was the perfect prop to give this session a unique twist!
We cannot wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day next month! We know for a fact we will have an absolute blast and can't wait to meet all the family and friends that adore this sweet couple! Only a couple more weeks now, guys!
