Kristin and Jon are on their way to becoming parents of 3 baby boys!
Kristin is a close photog friend of ours, she is uber talented and has done several sessions for us so we couldn't wait to capture this special time in her families journey. They are just a little over a month away from a fuller house and another pair of tiny feet rumbling the floors. As excited as they are to meet their newest member of the crew, they wanted to make sure to cherish this time with Abner and Archie before they both became older brothers!
Some of their favorite activities to do together as a family involve being at home, reading, baking, and of course playing with trains. When Kristin mentioned that she wanted to do a lifestyle maternity session and incorporate these things, we were HERE for it!! In home lifestyle sessions are the perfect way to freeze those little every day moments that as parents, we never want to forget! Isn't that the point of it all... freezing time any way you can in the little seasons of life that hold so many precious memories. The little everyday activities that you look back on when they are adults and teach them to create with their own children. It's the Saturdays at home baking banana muffins that remind your kiddos just how much they are loved!
We have already been to the Wieskamp house so we know that they have big beautiful windows letting in all the light, the cutest kitchen with charming wood beam ceilings, and the most precious photos printed ginormous in every room. And we have also met these two blue eyed cuties so we knew exactly how this session was going to go... perfectly! We knew it would be filled with laughter, golden locks and most importantly overflowing love! We started off with a few snuggle shots in the living room, we read a few books and made sure to snag a few shots with mom and dad with little miracle #3 growing in mamas belly. Then we got to see little Arlo's nursery that is patiently awaiting his arrival. Last but not least, we headed to the kitchen to let the boys have some fun... and snacks! Kristin is the perfect boy mom she knows well that messy hands and full bellies make happy kiddos!
Baking muffins was by far our favorite moment of the session. You can tell just by watching that the boys do this with mom and dad often and knew just how yummy those muffins were going to be when they came out of the oven! They helped with every little step from mixing the flour right down to finishing off the applesauce pouch after measuring out the perfect ratio. It was the sweetest thing to watch this family in their own atmosphere just dong what they do best... being together!
Their entire gallery shows a home filled with love, happiness, little moments of joy and parents that mean the world to these little guys. We simply cannot wait to meet baby Arlo and see just how perfectly he is going to fit into the beautiful, blessed family!
